Zenan sponsors student to purchase MUCH needed laptop
Zack Hornarvar found himself in a tough predicament. He was enrolled in a special Harvard program at Laurier for computer programming with tough courses and tight deadlines. As if his old laptop wasn’t hard enough to work on, its days were numbered and died on him completely. Zack didn’t have the funds or the time to wait for a new laptop. He decided to take an original entrepreneurial approach and sell sponsorships for laser etched logos on his future laptop. Then to have stories and articles written as well as social media to advetise the project. Zenan jumped on board when they heard that they could help this student and contributed a large portion of the funds needed to purchase the laptop. “We were more concerned with the student getting his laptop and continuing with his studies. We have kids in university and understand not only the cost but how important it is to have an up to date working computer. For us it’s not about the publicity.” Said Cindy Staffieri from Zenan Glass. The local paper wrote an online article that you can access here: http://www.thecord.ca/laurier-student-fundraises-for-his-future/ . Below are some photos of Zack and his completed laptop with Cindy Staffieri and Ivan Rebello from Zenan.
